What we are doing....school wise.

We are doing lots of fun and new things in school here.   Take a look.......

Little Mama (age 5) and Buddy (age 10) are doing lapbooks from A Journey Through Learning.  I received both of these for an upcoming review for the Schoolhouse Review Crew.  If you go to their site and sign up for their email list, you will receive a free lapbook.

My oldest daughter (age 12) is continuing to study away with Heart of Dakota's Creation to Christ.  She is on Unit 18 and is doing wonderful with it.  I want to do a more in depth post on this curriculum in the next few weeks.  I have loved this program for her!

As a family read aloud, we just started Archimedes and the Door of Science.  This one correlates with the Heart of Dakota studies.  I got to tell you, this book is interesting.....but a little dry.  I am struggling to get through it.   That is a secret between you and me....don't tell my kids that.

My oldest son (age 10) is almost finished with an 8 week writing course, Super Sensational Sentences, from Time 4 Writing.

My oldest daughter (age 12) also started a Time 4 Writing course, Powerful Paragraphs.

$99 was a hefty cost for us with these classes, but totally worth the fact that they hand their work in to an actual teacher.  All feedback and grades come from someone other than me.  How cool is that?  Yeah me!

Also for an upcoming review with the Schoolhouse Review Crew, Little Mama and I started the kindergarten Math curriculum from Touch Math.  She is loving it.

.....and I am personally reading this.  Let's just say it is not going so well.....

HAPPY MONDAY!!
