Make your own George Washington Hat

Say hello to Daniel.

He likes to cuddle, is a quiet sort, and has never once left a present on our carpet.  We heart him.

Daniel is a good sport too.   Look at him all presidential in that hat.

It is completely normal to dress a stuffed lifelike pet dog in a Presidents Day get-up.  Right?

Wait, wait....don't answer that.

My seven year old sweetie did this craft all by herself.

All you need are scissors and construction paper.

step 1:  Fold the paper in half.

step 2:  cut an S like shape into the paper

step 3:  cut a slit half way through the bottom (this cut is what makes the hat fit on a head, do not cut the whole way through)

step 4:  open up and try it on for size

Tomorrow, Daniel is going to model an Abe Lincoln hat.

How excited are you for that?

HAPPY SUNDAY!!

(We got our inspiration for this craft at the artists helping children blog.)
