This week, Little Mama and I are reading books about Antarctica and the Arctic.
What better way to get a sensory experience of those frigid tundras than to play with snow? Well, sort of. We are fresh out of real snow in these parts. However, I did find a super cool recipe for snow dough from the Nurture Store blog.
We made it this morning. It did not disappoint. Thumbs up for snow dough!!
SNOW DOUGH
- 2 cups cornstarch
- 1 cup salt
- 1 1/2 cups boiling water
- 2 tablespoons cream of tartar
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- silver glitter
Mix all ingredients together in a big bowl. It will start at a soupy consistency and then thicken as you mix. I did need to add a bit more cornstarch to our batch just to give it a little more firmness.
HAPPY WEDNESDAY!!

Oh How cool ...
